PLUM COLOURED WELSH SLATE CHIPPINGS - 40mm & 20mm sizes in the rare plum colour, this Welsh slate is both practical and beautiful and is from the one welsh quarry able to offer a pure plum colour.The natural stone is fine-grained and durable, and the colour brightens when wet. It is ideal for paths, rockeries, garden borders and water features (it is naturally fish-friendly).

This hard wearing Welsh Slate aggregate is DIRECT from the Alexandra and Moel Tryfan Quarries, near Caernarfon in North Wales. The slate is of the Cambrian geological era – dated at between 480 and 550 million years old. It is fine-grained in texture and is mainly plum coloured with occasional green inclusions. The 20mm slate aggregate is extremely hard wearing and is ideal for paths and garden borders, as well as driveway areas.The 40mm slate aggregate is great for driveways and borders.

The product is supplied in a 850kg BULK BAG, which covers approx 10-12 m2 in area based at a 40-50mm depth.Please check post codes for the NORTH & MID SCOTLAND, and most southerly tip of Cornwall below [ as additional charges may apply].

Delivery Information and Conditions of Sale: National deliveries are provided by an external haulier, and all deliveries require access for a tail-lift and a pallet truck. Customers must advise of any possible delivery restrictions as delivery vehicles are typically large18 tonne vehicles. You must have a flat solid ground capable of manoeuvring a pallet truck. Failing to comply with any of the above may result in a failed delivery and in additional charges if deliveries have to be remade or returned.

Our customer must provide a telephone number to enable our hauliers to call before dispatch to you from the distribution centre. We would expect you or a nominated advocate to be present to receive and sign for the delivery .With your permission, and at the drivers discretion, your materials may be offloaded directly onto your premises, however any damages caused to the goods delivered, or any property including (but not limited to) Manholes, Tarmac Driveways, Block Paved Driveways, Trees, Buildings, Gates, Gate Posts, Fences, Overhead Cables etc. are not the responsibility of Stone & Surfaces Direct Limited. Following delivery all items should be thoroughly inspected, and any issues notified within 24 hours of the delivery. Delivery will be made between 8am - 6pm on the day arranged. We cannot offer timed deliveries or an estimated time for delivery.In most cases once the goods have been removed from the packaging, refunds are no longer possible due to potential contamination of the slate aggregate. Please note that our customers are responsible for the disposal of any pallets and bulk bags after their use. In addition customers should note that as the materials are natural products there is potential variation in markings and shades, and the pictures and descriptions provided are based on the typical product extracted and processed from the quarry.
