USB 2.0 A Male to B Male Cable - 3 Feet, Black Connectors are designed in very specific ways to accomplish very specific tasks. That doesn’t make it any easier on end users, though - if you just want to plug things in and have them work, it can get not only frustrating but also confusing to try to make sense of it all. It’s fine to know that a peripheral has a USB port, but is it USB 1.0, 1.1, 2.0 or 3.0? Is it USB A or USB B? What’s compatible with what, and more importantly to most of us: why can’t everything just connect to everything else with the same cables? Well, take our word for it - it can’t. There are very different specifications for each type of connection because different types of data (and sometimes, even power) are being passed through the cables in different ways. What you can do, though, is be sure that you have the right cables to be able to connect “device A” to “device B,” no matter what device A and device B are. One of those cables you should definitely have in your arsenal (we like to think in grand terms when talking about our products) is our Cmple USB 2.0 A Male to B Male cable. But before going any further, let’s make sure you’ve got the terminology straight. USB B connectors are the square ones with either a rounded or protruding top, commonly found on many newer peripherals like printers and scanners and sometimes found on external hard drives or optical drives as well as some cameras or secondary devices. USB A connectors are the ones you’ve seen for years, the longer, thin rectangular ones used on most computers, as well as being placed on the sites of many monitors. You probably now can visualize why these USB 2.0 A to B cables are so handy to have. Old-fashioned 2.0 A to A (male to male) cables simply won’t work with much of the equipment you have to connect to your computer, so even if you have a few hanging around you’ll still be out of luck when you want to hook up that new scanner, external drive or audio interface and discover your cable won’t fit into the jack. We make this product the Cmple way, with high-quality shielded cable for maximum data speed and minimal data loss without radio-frequency or electromagnetic interference getting into the way, flexible and strong PVC jackets, and fully-molded connectors on each end. They’ll support high-speed transfer up to 480 Mbps, and are fully compatible with USB 1.0 and 1.1 devices. (Note: the USB 2.0 B connector on this cable will not work with USB 3.0 B devices.) This cable is available in two colors and several length as well. 3 feet, 6 feet, 10 feet, 15 feet Black, White Key specs for our Cmple 3-foot USB 2.0 A male to B male cable: USB 2.0 compliant, backward compatible with USB 1.0 and 1.1 standards Length: 3 feet Connectors: Male USB A to Male USB B, molded on both ends Supports high speed data transmission to 480 Mbps RoHS compliant Color: Black There are few better feelings (not in life, but when dealing with computers and peripherals) than knowing “I have a cable for this!” In this way, at least, the Cmple USB 2.0 A Male to B Male cable can make you feel very, very good.
