Details about the varieties offered:

Green Globe Artichoke.  Cynara Scolymus.  An heirloom that dates back to 1863.  This is the most popular variety of artichoke.  It is a great producer and can provide gorgeous flowers.  Approximately 25 seeds per pack.

Mary Washington Asparagus.  Asparagus officinalis.  730 days to maturity.  An old time favorite heirloom that was developed approximately in the early 1900s.  Delicious, thick, dark green spears.  Approximately 50 seeds per pack.

Accelerate Bush Green Beans.  Phaseolus vulgaris.  53 days to maturity.  Open-pollinated.  6-7" round pods are medium dark green, and have a great flavor.  Approximately 25 seeds per pack.

Amethyst Bush Beans.  Phaseolus vulgaris.  Amethyst is a purple podded specialty bean that is produced on a vigorous bush plant. The round pods are 5 to 5-1/2" long completely stringless, and if the plants are kept picked, they produce continuously over a long period. The attractive and straight pods also have a uniform color. Pods lose their color when cooked in hot water.  Approximately 25 seeds per pack.

Asparagus Green Podded Yard Long Beans. Vigna unguiculata. 85 days to maturity.  This excellent variety grows 24-26" long green pods that remain tender up to 18" in length.  The plant grows up to 9 feet tall and spreads to almost 2 feet.  Certified organic seed. Approximately 25 seeds per pack.

Black Pencil Pod Beans (Bush Snap Beans - Wax Type).  Phaseolus vulgaris.  58 days to maturity.  Pods are 6-7" long, straight, and round like a pencil.  Clear yellow color, very brittle, stringless and have a great flavor.  Black seeds.  Approximately 25 seeds per pack.

Cherokee Wax Bush Snap Beans (Wax type).  Phaseolus vulgaris.  50 Days to maturity.  Vigorous bush type plant is productive and dependable even during adverse weather. 5-6" long, tasty, oval pods are completely stringless with a nice yellow color; black seeds.  Untreated seed.  Approximately 25 seeds per pack.

Christmas Pole Lima Beans.  Phaseolus lunatus.  90 days to maturity.  Pole type.  Broad, flat pods with three large, flat limas each.  Beans are creamy green with red markings.  When cooked at either green or dry, they turn a pink brown color.  Approximately 15 seeds per pack.

Atomic Red Carrots.  Daucus carrota.  75 days to maturity.  Long, tapered roots reach 8 to 11 inches long. Pink when picked, once cleaned off and either bake, steam, or boil them they immediately turn a brilliant scarlet color.   Approximately 50 seeds per pack.

Mississippi Purple Brown Crowder (Southern Cowpeas).  Vigna unguiculata.  65 days to maturity.  Less vine than most of the other heirloom varieties of brown crowders. High yielding, delicious large brown seeds with reddish purple pods at green shell stage. Pods shell very easily. At the dry stage, they are purple.
