The JJC BTR-S1 Wireless Remote Control is specially designed for select Sony cameras. It allows you to remote your camera wirelessly with an operating distance of approx. 10m / 32.8' in any direction. The BTR-S1 can be used for shooting still image, recording video, adjusting camera focus, zooming the camera and activating the camera's C1 or AF-ON function. You can disable all the buttons on the remote control in order to prevent unintentional operations while you carry it around by sliding the LOCK switch to the "LOCK" position. The remote is portable and you can put it in your pocket or hang it on your key ring. It is powered by a CR2032 battery( Not Included ). JJC BTR-S1 replaces Sony RMT-P1BT remote commander.

How to connect the remote?
1.Enter the settings menu by pressing the Menu button on the back of the camera and navigate to the [Network] settings, then select [Bluetooth Settings] , turn on the [Bluetooth Function].
2.Go back to the menu and navigate to the [Network] settings, from here make sure that Bluetooth Rmt Ctrl is set to [On] .
3.Go back again to [Network] settings, select [Bluetooth Settings], and select the [Pairing] option.
4. You will be asked to perform pairing on the connected device. Now you need to hold down both the shutter button and Zoom T buttons on the remote simultaneously for a full 7 seconds.
5. If this works correctly you should see the following screen. Simply click [OK] and it will appear [Paired].

Use Tips:
1. You cannot use the function for linking location information with a smartphone when the [Bluetooth Rmt Ctrl] is set to [On].
2. While [Bluetooth Rmt Ctrl] is set to [On], the camera will not switch to the power-saving mode. Change the setting to [Off] when you are done using the Bluetooth remote commander.
3. If you do not operate the Remote for a few seconds, the Remote will automatically be disconnected from the camera. Even while they are disconnected, you can automatically reconnect the Remote to the camera by pressing any button.
4. The zoom button on the remote only works with for power zoom lenses.
 
 
 
 
User notes:
 
(1) The zoom buttons on the remote only works for power zoom lenses when used on mirrorless cameras.
(2) The zoom buttons on the remote will not work when taking RAW or RAW + JPEG. It only works when taking JPEG.
(3) You cannot use GPS location tagging when using this remote.
(4) If you turn off the camera and then turn it on again, you need to wait for a few seconds and then activate the remote by pressing one of the buttons on the remote.
