The '40 Ford is a Larry Wood design inspired by a 1940 Ford Convertible. While the actual vehicle is a popular car style for hot rodding—as are other Ford models from the 1937–1940 generation—the Hot Wheels casting instead presents the coupe with its original, classic features. The 2008 All Stars Series version dons a copper exterior, with fire flame tampos in gold and silver on its sides and hood.
