This is a rare autographed February 1988 playbill from the Original Broadway production of "PENN and TELLER" at the Ritz Theatre in New York City. (The production opened December 1st, 1987 and closed March 20th, 1988 after 130 performances.) ..... The act starred PENN JILLETTE and RAYMOND TELLER (both signed the front cover) ..... Background: PENN and TELLER are American magicians, entertainers, and scientific skeptics who have performed together since the late 1970's. They are noted for their ongoing act that combines elements of comedy with magic. The duo has been featured in numerous stage and television shows and currently perform in Las Vegas, having the distinction of being the longest running headliners to play at the same hotel in Las Vegas history. Penn Jillette serves as the act's orator and raconteur, while Teller generally does not speak while performing, instead communicating through mime and nonverbals.
