could not make out the signature, but the painting is an example of 20^th century Nihonga painting.  It looks to be a great example of the Nanga tradition which is Japanese landscape painting based on the Chinese tradition. The painting does not mean to capture any particular real landscape but the painter uses the imagery of landscape to express their feeling/mood at that moment
