Estate find...
Small vintage covered porcelain trinket box, the maker identified on the bottom as illustrated in Japanese
characters.
It has survived in good gently used condition, free of chips, cracks or wear to the decoration.
Hand painted with a traditional asian landscape, the cut rims fit togeteher like a puzzle which is very intriquing.
The box is small... it stands 3.5cm (1 1/2") tall, measures 6cm (2 1/4") across the domed lid and is
5cm (1 7/8ths") deep.
