Korea South 2018 "The Sound of Korea (Korea classical Musician" 3v Set

The Post Office issues the sound of Korea (Korean traditional musician), a stamp that introduces three national intangible cultural asset entertainment holders in the Korean traditional music world, to shed new light on the beauty of Korean traditional music and raise interest in Korean traditional music.

Kim Cheon-heung (1909-2007), a traditional dancer and Haegeum performer, is the holder of the national intangible cultural property No. 1 Jongmyo Jeryeak (Haegeum and Ilmu) and No. 39 Cheoyongmu.
At the age of 14, he entered the Yiwangjikakbuwon Training Center as a second-term student, and in 1923, he participated in the 50-year-old birthday celebration of Emperor Sunjong and was also called the last Mudong of Joseon.
He was very talented in playing haegeum and worked hard to preserve and reproduce traditional music as a living witness to traditional music that encompasses yanggeum performance, song, Jeongak and Sokak, Jeongjae and folk dance.

Singae-dong (1910-1977), dubbed the master of Geomungo Sanjo, is an entertainment holder of National Intangible Cultural Property No. 16 Geomungo Sanjo.
I learned Geomungo Sanjo from Baek Nak-jun, the founder of Geomungo Sanjo, and added a new Jungjungmori rhythm and Whimori rhythm to it and expanded the Jungjungmori rhythm.
He also developed a unique Geomungo ward with the skills he learned from great singers of his time.
In addition, he spent his entire life with Geomungo Sanjo, training disciples at the National Gugak Center, Gugak Arts School, and Seorabeol College of Arts, including the Joseon Vocal Research Association.
Kim Yoon-deok (1918-1978), a master of Gayageum Sanjo, is an entertainment holder of National Intangible Cultural Property No. 23 Gayageum Sanjo and Byeongchang.
As a child, he learned the customs of Gayageum, Yanggeum, and Geomungo, and created his own Gayageum Sanjo and Geomungo Sanjo, which were made with new melodies in the teacher's Sanjo due to their excellent musical materials.

Kim Yoon-deok served as a cultural mission to promote Korea's traditional culture to the world while performing overseas, including performances at Carnegie Hall in the United States with masters. He is also evaluated as a person who greatly contributed to the development of modern Korean traditional music by striving to foster juniors.
