Orcrist, Thorin Oakenshield’s sword

An original sword from the film The Hobbit made by United Cutlery.

In the Third Age of Middle-earth, Thorin Oakenshield and his Dwarf Company meet a troll lair in Rh-nour. Thorin finds a
ancient elven sword called Orcrist (orc blade), which was created by the High Elves of the West in Gondolin.

Orcrist has only one edge. Its blade is sharp and curved on one side and straight on the other, a design perfectly suited to kill orcs and elves. The metal knob shows the heraldry of the house of Ecthelion, the Lord of the Fountain. The handle is made of a dragon tooth.

It has written in elven runes: The name Orcrist (Orc-knife) can be read on the guard.

The inscription on both sides of the leaf has been translated as «snake tooth».

This faithfully detailed replica is a reproduction of the actual filming accessory created by Weta Workshop in New Zealand and used in the film The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. United Cutlery, a leader in the field of film accessory replicas, has meticulously recreated this sword using only the highest quality materials. The highest priority was set in the accuracy of all the details.

The sword is almost a metre long. A runic inscription is engraved on the stainless steel blade. The handle is made of solid metal parts, imitation gemstones and a molded acrylic resin grip.
