WOOD COUNTY Sesquicentennial 1820-1970 beer stein Ohio metal mug Maumee River

This is a previously-owned, metal beer stein with a bronze medallion appliqué on the side that says “Wood County / Ohio / Sesquicentennial / 1820-1970.” It is approximately 5 inches tall and approximately 4 inches in diameter. Of note, it is in great shape with no chips anywhere that we can see or feel (it was mostly on display).

Wood County -- located in Ohio – is named after Captain Eleazer D. Wood, the engineer for General William Henry Harrison's army, who built Fort Meigs in the War of 1812. Its county seat is Bowling Green and its diagonal northwest border is formed by the Maumee River, which has its mouth at Maumee Bay on Lake Erie.
