Second album from local Sydney Stoner band. Listening to the album you instantly feel the lift in production and song structure from their last album. This one definitely hits the mark for a doom odyssey full of long grinding, psychedelic soundscape interludes. Recorded by drummer Frank at his studio and mixed by the band this album feels very comfortable. The opening track "Ride like the wind" is a monster track, with wicked tight drumming gelling beautifully with a much improved bass tone from the previous album, coupled with the combination of both Paul & Matt's attacking fuzzed-out guitars driving the track along. "Fossil fuel blues" takes you down into a droning doom laden place that is held back beautifully by Frank's precise drumming and the guitar sounding like a sonic combustion of Eddie Hazel & Jimi Hendrix influences. Matt's vocals pierce the sludgy heaviness with a new found strength that really lifts the songs. "Prelude" sees the band wig out into a sonic landscape for a few minutes before heading into "Organic robot". The rhythm section is smoking through this track with another exceedingly heavy stoner groove throughout. The journey continues over the next few tracks before the epic 14 minute finale "The path". A journey in itself, full of wicked grinding riffs, spacey psychedelic moods and rockin' grooves. As the song fades away into feedback bliss you suddenly find yourself back in your lounge room and the journey is over...
Founded in 2002 by Paul Attard (guitars, bass) and Frank Attard (drums), Mother Mars are a heavy-psyche/stoner band from Sydney, Australia. In 2007, Mother Mars releases their debut EP "Take The Ride" which was followed in 2009 by the first full-length album "Primitives" and in 2011 by the second full-length album "Fossil Fuel Blues". In 2013, Mother Mars released their third full-length album "Steam Machine Museum" through their own, newly established record-imprint Pepper Shaker Records.
Paul Attard and Frank Attard are also founding members by instrumental psyche-space-rock band Frozen Planet....1969.

Wrapping method:
All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown
paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are
taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas:
All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard
airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you
require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured
item which incurs a further postage fee.
