I ship Monday through Wednesday of every week. If you are on the EAST COAST- I might ship your order out on Thursday if the weather is good. I don't ship west coast orders after Wednesday because your order might sit a day.  On Monday holidays when USPS is closed, we ship out Tuesdays.

Should I be concerned about algae/Pests?

I do my best to provide a sterile environment for the plants to grow but it's impossible to guarantee the safety of your tank from these things ordering from outside suppliers. Please if you are concerned do a bleach dip.
