Estate find...
Antique lock set, found in basement storage, never mounted, in original tattered cardboard box.
I inserted a standard size playing card in one photo as a reference for size
All metal, the set includes the key, two part lock set and an escutcheon
Found in its original tattered paper box, the style of key is old fashioned and very appealing.
The key measures 4 3/4 inches (12cm) in length.
The lock box measures 3 1/2 inches (8.5cm) high by 4 1/4 (11cm) inches across.
The door wood have to be at least 1 1/2 inches thick.
I noticed the key, though working well, is a bit stiff......, I attribute that to disuse.
