Jeanne d Arc, born around 1412 in Domrémy, a village in the duchy of Barn 1 (nowadays in the Vosges department in Lorraine), and died at the stake on 30 May 1431 in Rouen, capital of the duchy of Normandy then possessed by the kingdom of England, is a heroine in the history of France, war chief and saint of the Catholic Church, nicknamed since the 16th century the Pucelle d'Orléans.

Gold-plated FIX :
The gold-plated FIX was created in 1829 by François-Auguste Savard born in 1803, son of a collector for the contributions of the Aube, when he left college, he had obtained from his father the right to enter as an apprentice at a jeweler from Provins whose meticulous work he loved. In possession of all the secrets of this beautiful profession, he went to Paris, it was humble beginnings, in the Marais district, the heart of the jewelry industry at the time. It was there that the gold-lined jewelry industry was born in 1829, which was to meet such a dazzling fate, success was immediate throughout France and also by requests from abroad.

The engraver Edmond Becker,
born in Paris (1871-1971), from the age of twenty participated in the Salon des Artistes Français in the "sculpture" section; but it was the 1900 exhibition that brought him consecration at the Boucheron stand (Gold Medal). While the "modern style" unwinds its sinuous lines, it deals with humor and gaiety with familiar themes such as children's faces, flowers, plants, gives everyday objects their nobility, watches the look of jewelry and passes. with ease from academician swords to monumental sculpture. In 1927 he executed the High Altar of the French Church in New York and sculpted profiles both to be minted in coins and made into medals. The postage stamp also caught his attention. Long is the record of this great artist who in 1937 received the highest "Medal of Honor" awards. For many years, Edmond Becker devoted himself exclusively to the medal, of which he became the great specialist on the Place de Paris, and happily adapted his work to the evolution of contemporary art
