This is a hand-colored botanical plate from Dictionary of Natural Sciences, circa 1810, of an Monocotyledones-type plant.  Art by Pierre Jean Francois TURPIN, 1775-1840.   Description in Latin & French.   Size: 8" x 5".  Early, strong paper with moderate age-toning.  Expertly and accurately water colored.  Very Good condition.
