The herringbone and zig-zag weaving is unusual for a Turkish rug. The weaving is fine and regular; the occasional superficial knots show it is hand-woven.
Note the madder-red to indigo-blue negative symmetries and gold brocade diamond centrally, gold and yellow serrated at one edge, yellow and pink at the other, and other subtle weft in-weavings.
