This is a medium size lot of Marshall Island first day covers, a few Marshall Island stamps, and a few Federated States of Micronesia stamps.
There are about 70 Marshall Island first day covers and 1 first day card, the Robert Louis Stevenson shown in scan 3. These are almost all from 1987-1993. The total catalog is over $165.00 if they were off cover. Many are in pairs, strips, or blocks. 1 cover, #230 has been roughly opened. The souvenir sheet on it was not affected by the torn cover. The general catalog number range is 142-413, C17-20 & C21 with many, but not all of the WWII issues represented.
The Marshall Island stamps catalog about $43.00 and the few Federated States of Micronesia stamps catalog about $5.50.
Most of the first day covers come with explanation cards. The standard back side of the card is shown in the last scan. The front of the card is written about the event being commemorated on the stamps. An example of this is in Scan #4. The flap on that particular cover is sealed, but most if not all the others are not sealed.
The original collector hinged these to blank paper so very small hinge remnants are present on a few of the back sides of the covers.
