>Offered here is an old and original 1972 U.S. OLYMPIC TRIALS for Track & Field poster!! Please see all five photos, as they are an important part of my description. This extremely colorful, graphic and full-color poster measures approximately 22" x 16", and features an actual photograph featuring a steeplechase race at historic Hayward Field here in Eugene, Oregon. The Oregon Track Club runner pictured at center is local Olympian Mike Manley. The poster advertises "Track and Field in Oregon in 1972", and promotes the dual-meet season for the Oregon Ducks in addition to the 1972 NCAA Championships and then the 1972 Olympic Trials. The poster also features the iconic "Olympic Rings" as well. The poster pictures both of the original Hayward Field wooden grandstands. The poster's reverse side lists the Olympic Trials full schedule, including the final day on July 9th when Oregon's Steve Prefontaine would wow the hometown faithful and win the 5,000 meter final and claim his ticket to the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. <>Also on the poster's reverse is a "plea" from Oregon's head track coach Bill Bowerman (see final photo), asking for "Help!" , which reads: "We need the help of our friends...and it won't cost you a cent. Take this poster and put it up in some public place (your business, your neighbor's business, your club, your grocery store). This will be the greatest track and field year in the history of the state...Let's tell everyone about it. Thanks for your help! Sincerely, Bill Bowerman, U.S. Olympic Coach". A great keepsake for track fans, and a very rare find as well!

<>Condition: the poster has been professionally laminated by a prior owner. Each of the four corners shows multiple tack holes present. There are also horizontal and vertical fold lines present, but I am certain they are original to the poster's issue as the poster was folded into a small square. Please check my eBay feedback and Bid With Confidence - I have Happy Customers with 1,000's of items sold! >Please Read BEFORE Bidding (you may be at a disadvantage if you don't):  >Will ship gently rolled via USPS *Ground Advantage* and Postage-Paid in the USA! >>Sorry: NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. I do offer honest descriptions, friendly service and quick shipping. Have a question? Don't hesitate to contact me as I am a "Buyer-Friendly" seller!
