lithograph print Pop Art poster is printed in Italy in 1977 in Milano (as stated in postage mark on post card )for the New Wave Italian fashion brand Fiorucci. It features an amazing series of post cards in The Pop Art style graphic image in a beautiful vibrant multicolor palette. The style reminds us of English pop artist of the period, such as Peter Blake.

The world famous Italian fashion brand was founded in 1967 by Elio Fiorucci. The first shop exposed Milan to styles of swinging London and American classics such as the t-shirt and jeans. By the late 1970's and early 1980's this would be reversed, and the New York store would become famous for the fashions it introduced in The United States.

In the early 1980's the Fiorucci boutique in New York City was the epicenter of the New wave Post Modern fashion scene. It was the place to be, and referred to as " The Daytime Studio 54 ". It attracted trendsetters including Andy Warhol, jackie O., Truman Capote, Debbie Harry, and a young Madonna, among many other creative and well known people.

Fiorucci made better posters than any fashion brand ever did. The posters sold the clothing for sure, but the posters were the product, also. They were hugely desirable. Clothing inside the closet / posters hung on the closet door. Fiorucci posters were a collectible Pop culture phenomenon.
