Has cover like the old Saturday Evening Post and about the same size at 9" by 12"; this one has has a young girl holding a red shoe while her mother is about to strike the shoe with a large hammer. Clothing is also red. Cover is entitled "Economy of Force" and is signed by CONGSON (Gavino Reyes Congson who just passed away in 2006 at the age of 97!!!). Cover price is 30 Centavos; 3 Pesos a year. Editor and Publisher is A.V.H.Hartendorp with offices in Manila. Article and Columns are listed as: Philippine Economic Conditions, Paul P. Nice condition with a little edge wear and small corner fold; not bad for 77 years and most of it in Manila humidity.This copy has survived seven decades of the humidity in Manila quite well. What a delight to read these magazines from a positive era in what appears to be a prosperous time after the Depression but nearing WWII.Issues of this period are scarce and command prices to match.
