Here is a vintage brass or bronze oval with a slot in center.  It measures about 2 inches long and is 1/2 inch thick.  It is also numbered 224 and 210 on the face.  It shows tarnish, dirt and use including signs of an old weld on the side.  I don't know what this item might have been - but its interesting.   Please see pictures and ask any questions.
