100% Merino Wool pre-felt (21 micron). Available as 50x50cm square or 100x100cm sq (+/- 5% as these are hand cut). This has been washed, carded and needle felted to give the perfect background for needle felting onto for pictures (it is not as dense as other felts), for wet felting and for 3D work. Also good for nuno felting, cardmaking and a variety of different crafts. It may contain small amounts of vegetable matter such as grass which can be picked up by the sheep. It is 2-3mm thick and the weight is 150 gms per sq metre.
Please remember if wet felting the work will shrink by about a third in the felting process and you can also needle felt 2 pieces of pre-felt together. The Merino wool is ethically sourced from non-mulesed sheep
