Scarce early original vintage boudoir cabinet card photograph shows a mule train headed up Pike’s Peak delivering lumber and supplies. Photograph was taken by famous Colorado photographer William E. Hook.

William Hook settled in Manitou Springs, Colorado in 1885 to establish a successful photography business. He documented the early years of the Canadian Northwest Mounted Police, the Manitou and Pikes Peak Railway, and Cripple Creek. His passion for Native Americans, railroads and mining was evident in his work.

Cabinet card measures 5 x 8 inches and is in excellent condition with no bends, tears, or creases and is very sharp and has strong tones with good contrast and clarity.
