Wall art relief plaque of Hermes.  This collectible ceramic / clay relief features Hermes holding Dionyssos, a description of the item on a tag on the back, and is green and black in color.  It is an irregular shape but measures approximately 8.5" tall x 7.25" wide, has a black strap for hanging, and is stamped made in Greece.  Plaque is in good used condition with minimal wear along the bottom back edge (see pictures).

Representation in relief from the statue of Hermes seen in the museum of Olympia.  It represents Hermes holding in one arm little Dionyssos and trying to amuse him so he does not cry because he fears his wife Hera perceives the child and kills him.  Little Dionyssos was born from another woman.  5th c. B.C.
