This 100% silk kimono obi fabric is selected and obtained from traditional Japanese Kimono handmaid tailor’s shop in Kansai area in Japan which is very popular among Geisha and Maiko girls right now! Kansai area includes historical cities such as Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Nara and etc. This area used to be the center of Japanese culture and capital was located until it moved to Edo Tokyo.
We, as long as not being a Geisha or Maiko, have not so many opportunities to wear kimono obi.
