Vintage Sheaffer Soft Stroke Slim Mechanical Pencil 0.9m - Red - USA - c1969

The throw away Soft Stroke Pen was introduced in 1969 and represents the last foray into the soft tip marker market by Sheaffer. The pen was offered singly, and interestingly paired in sets with refillable ballpoint pens and pencils.

Sheaffer made all plastic versions of the Soft Stroke Pen and a the higher line version with a polished chrome cap similar to the Cartridge Glideriter. Although not branded as a Glideriter, it represents the endpoint of this thinking at Sheaffer. It's also notable in that Sheaffer marketed a metal cap pen as a throw away.

This advert is for mechanical pencil from Soft Stroke pen collection. Very rare find this days and can be fantastic addition to your pens collection.

Manufacturer and Year : Sheaffer USA ... they started producing the Soft Stroke range in 1969 and range was discontinued in 1973.  Made in the USA.

Length apprx. 13.6cm, Width: appr 0.8cm

Filling System: It takes 0.9mm leads, and there are a few original leads inside each pencil. There is 0.7mm eraser at the top of the cap

Action: Twist action to extract or retract leads

Color:  Red barrel colour with chrome plated cap and trims

Material: Plastic body, stainless steel cap

Condition: Full working condition. No visible scratches on the cap or barrel, but there is few imperfection on the cap due to product age. We acquired these pencils from various official Sheaffer sources, and so they did not come with boxes or paperwork. 

Packaging: Pencil supplied loose without gift box
