Vintage Sheaffer Soft Stroke Slim Profile Ballpoint Pen - Black CT - USA - c1969

The throw away Soft Stroke Pen was introduced in 1969 and represents the last foray into the soft tip marker market by Sheaffer. The pen was offered singly, and interestingly paired in sets with refillable ballpoint pens and pencils.

Sheaffer made all plastic versions of the Soft Stroke Pen and a the higher line version with a polished chrome cap similar to the Cartridge Glideriter. Although not branded as a Glideriter, it represents the endpoint of this thinking at Sheaffer. It's also notable in that Sheaffer marketed a metal cap pen as a throw away.

This advert is for ballpoint pen from Soft Stroke pen collection. Very rare find this days and can be fantastic addition to your pens collection.

Manufacturer and Year : Sheaffer USA ... they started producing the Soft Stroke range in 1969 and range was discontinued in 1973.  Made in the USA.

Filling System: It takes Sheaffer 'K' ballpoint refill,

Is refill supplied?: New Refill is NOT supplied with this pen, you need to order it separately. Please note, pen contains an old ballpoint refill, which is not tested and might not working properly, new refill is recommended.

Mechanism: Retractable, click on/off action - press on the top button to extend or retract refill

Color:  Black barrel colour with chrome plated cap and trims

Material: Plastic body, stainless steel cap

Condition: Full working order. No visible scratches on the cap or barrel, but there is few imperfection on the cap due to product age. We acquired these pens from various official Sheaffer sources, and so they did not come with boxes or paperwork. 

Packaging: Pen supplied loose without gift box
