Selling a 14k yellow gold coin escudo ring featuring a bezel set one escudo yellow gold coin in the center. The 1788 Spanish escudo coin features the right facing bust of King Charles III on the front with the crowned shield in collar of The Golden Fleece on the reverse. The coin has terrific visual detail, with a setting that highlights the coin. The coin is an authentic escudo from 1788.

The escudo coin measures 19 mm in diameter in the bezel setting. The ring shank narrows to approximately 2.5 mm wide at the back center point.

The inside of the shank is marked 14K on one side, and 585, (which is the European equivalent to 14k gold), on the other side. The one escudo coin is composed of .875 gold, which is equivalent to 21 karat gold.

The ring weighs 8.0 grams and measures a size 11 1/2.

This vintage ring is in very good vintage condition with normal use and wear. Light scratches and smoothing are noted; however, the details remain visually prominent and there are no significant scratches or issues. Very cool piece of history and Spanish pirate treasure.
