Details about the varieties offered:

Sugar Snap Peas.  Pisum sativum.  70 days to maturity.  Fleshy, 3" long, dark green pods are tender and can be used raw in salads, dips or can be used as a snap pea.  Large 6' vines require support.  Approximately 25 seeds per pack.

Texas Cream Peas (Southern Cowpeas).  Vigna unguiculata.  70 days to maturity. Texas Cream Peas are a heavy yielding Southern cowpea that is great for fresh shelling. These bush-type plants are prolific and thrive in hotter, Southern weather. Texas Cream is a "cream pea" type variety, they are generally used at the fresh shelling stage.  Approximately 25 seeds per pack.

Thomas Laxton Shell Peas.  Pisum sativum.  75 days to maturity.  30" vines produce loads of dark green pods, 4" long with 8-10 peas each.  This famous heirloom pea was first introduced in the late nineteenth century by its namesake, legendary botanist, and colleague of Charles Darwin, Thomas Laxton. Approximately 25 seeds per pack.

Top Pick Brown Crowder Southern Cow Peas.  Vigna unguiculata.  55 days to maturity.  Upright bush plants with prolific sets of pods on the top where they are easy to see and harvest. The plants will have 2-3 heavy flushes of pod set. Pick when light purple for shelling. They are easy to shell at all stages. Plants can be grown 8-12” apart for the best productivity.  Approximately 25 seeds per pack.

Top Pick Pink Eye Southern Cowpeas.  Vigna unguiculata.  50 days to maturity.  The best choice for excellent flavor.  Compact, bush type plant. Peas are white with a purple eye.  Tons of blooms.  For fresh "green" peas, pick when pods are pale green or light purple, not dark purple.  Easy shelling.  High yields.  Plant height 18-26."  Approximately 25 seed per pack.

Wando Peas.  Pisum sativum.  68 days to maturity.  This 30" vine produces thick podded, delicious peas that are exceptionally sweet.  Ideal for hot southern climates, but also tolerant of cooler zones.  Approximately 25 seeds per pack.

Anaheim Chili Hot Peppers.  Capsicum annuum.  70 days to green, 80-85 days to red maturity. Mildly hot.  Long, tapered, medium thick peppers.  Green maturing to red, up to 12" long.  24-36" plant height.  Typically used as a stuffing pepper.  Medium heat with SHU of 1000 to 3,500.  Approximately 50 seeds per pack.

Ancho 101 Hot Peppers.  Capsicum annuum.  75 days to maturity. Mildly hot.  Dark green fruits grow to about 5" long and are heart shaped.  Medium heat with SHU of 1000 to 2,000.  Approximately 50 seeds per pack.

Ghost (Bhut Jolokia) Hot Peppers.  Capsicum chinese.  100 days to maturity.  Produces a wrinkled 2" x 1" fruit that starts green and turns red.  SHU 1,000,000+ units.  This pepper is challenging to germinate and take up to 30 days.  Approximately 50 seeds per pack.

Habanero Orange Hot Peppers.  Capsicum annuum.  90 days to maturity.  Super Hot!  SHU of 280,000 units! From the Yucatan in Mexico, this small tapered pale green fruits have wrinkled skin turning to an orange color when ripe.  Used mainly as a dried pepper powder.  Approximately 50 seeds per pack.

Hungarian Wax Hot Peppers.  Capsicum annuum.  65 days to maturity.  Banana shaped fruits are 3-4" long and up to 2" in diameter.  Yellow in color, turning to a red when mature.  Medium thick walls.  Spicy, fairly hot and does not leave an aftertaste like some hot peppers do.  SHU of 750-3,000.  Approximately 50 seeds per pack.

Chocolate Bell Sweet Pepper.  Capsicum annuum.  78 days to maturity. This extraordinary sweet bell pepper has chocolate brown skin, but the flesh is red.  They are smooth, tapered, medium-small snub nosed bells with a very mild flavor.  Approximately 25 seeds per pack.

Marconi Rosso Italian Sweet Pepper.  Capsicum chinense.  80 days to maturity. Open pollinated, Italian gourmet.  Marconi Rosso is a large sweet pepper that is 8” long and 3” wide. Big Max Pumpkin.  Cucurbita maxima.  120 days to maturity.  Can weigh up to 100 pounds.  Skin is a pinkish orange color that is truly an eye catcher. Approximately 10 seeds per pack.

Cinderella Pumpkin.  Cucurbita maxima.  105 days to maturity.  Also called Rouge Vif D'etampes.  This fairytale pumpkin is a deep reddish orange, deeply ribbed, and flat.  These weigh up to 25 pounds under the best growing conditions.  Approximately 10 seeds per pack.

Imperial Green Spinach.  Oleracea.  38 days to maturity for mature plant, 25 days for baby greens.  Imperial Green is an Asian Spinach with strong resistance to downy mildew, heat, and bolting. This is a great one for unseasonably warm spring and fall days -- as well as for frosty winter in warm climates. It is quick-finishing, gourmet green is ready in no time and always tastes succulent and rich.  Has arrow-shaped leaves are held upright and very dense on long-stemmed plants that do not flop over or become empty-centered. Chicago Warted Hubbard Winter Squash.  Cucurbita maxima.  110 days to maturity.  An American heirloom that was introduced commercially by Vaughan's Seed Store, Chicago in 1894, who described it as “the best of its class, rich in quality, a keeper and thick fleshed - such will sell at sight.” Trailing vines produce large 13 lb., warty, wrinkled, olive green fruit with fine-grained, sweet, orange flesh. Turks Turban Squash.  Cucurbita maxima.  95 Days to maturity.  This unique heirloom from the 1820s is related to pumpkins, squash and gourds. The bottom half is usually a solid color and the top is generally beige with streaks of reddish orange and dark green.
