Note according to the battery law

Important note according to BattG (law on the return and disposal of used batteries and accumulators) Batteries and accumulators do not belong in household waste. Consumers are legally obliged to return used batteries or rechargeable batteries. They can be returned at the municipality's public collection points or wherever they are sold. We also take used batteries and accumulators back for disposal free of charge, with any freight costs being borne by the customer.
