antique, late 18th century wax seal
made of turned wood and bronze, with a heraldic seal, with a coat of arms:
on blue / azure a six-pointed star, a barred helmet, as crest a six pointed star,
the star without tincture / heraldic colouring, so we researched as silver
as the provenance is a Dutch estate, we looked for a coat of arms in the collection of CBG The Hague - the research centre for family history, genealogy and heraldic studies
we did not find a 6 pointed star with a star as crest, there was a five pointed star with crest for:
van der Laen - but this seems to early for our seal
for the coat of arms documented without crest we found:
Ackersloot - Ackerslooth - Aecersloot - Akersloot -
Keyser - Keijser -
and Nagtglas, but this one also seems to early

condition: authentic old patine with old ink stains, complete, firm
