                   PAINTER      Lyashchuk Timofey Andreevich (1930–2015)

     Soviet graphic artist, poster artist, teacher. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR (1958). Honored Art Worker of the Ukrainian SSR (1968).

Timofey Andreevich Lyashchuk was born in the village of Obolon, Poltava region. In 1946 he entered the T. G. Shevchenko Kyiv secondary school, where he studied with E. N. Yablonskaya and E. V. Volobuev. Studied at the Kiev State Art Institute under V. I. Kasiyan, S. N. Erzhikovsky, A. I. Sirotenko (1951–1957). Lived in Kyiv. Participant of republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions (since 1957). In 1959-1972, T. A. Lyashchuk was the editor-in-chief of the editorial board of the creative and production association "Agitplakat" of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. He headed the workshop of poster art at the Kiev State Art Institute (1964–1994). He was engaged in easel painting and graphics, created a series of watercolors and drawings "Report from Komsomolsk-on-Dnepr" (1962) and others. He worked in the field of socio-political posters, advertising film posters ("The Scarlet Flower", 1978, etc.). It was the poster, with its conciseness and expressiveness, that brought Lyashchuk fame and recognition, victories in numerous competitions.

(1967), "Leader, teacher, friend" (1969), "Who lay down for the Motherland will live for centuries", "He did not die, who died for the cause of the revolution", "Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg" (1969), "Let's put the party's directives into practice!" (1971), "Building the city, remember the green friend" (1973), "BAM - the artery of the construction of communism" (1975), "The Tenth Five-Year Plan - shock work!" (1976), "The 60th anniversary of the Great October Revolution - 60 shock decades!" (1976), “Water is life” (1981), “The great Lenin lit up the path for us” (1983), “We will come to the victory of labor” (1990); a series of posters "Glory to the Komsomol" (1957), "VLKSM" (1967-1968).

Lyashchuk are in the collection of the Volsk Museum of Local Lore (VKM), the Gelendzhik Museum of Local History (GIKM), the State Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve, the State Historical Museum (GIM), the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (CMVS RF) ), State Museum and Exhibition Center "ROSIZO", the State Central Museum of Cinema (GTSMK), the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia (GTsMSIR), the Central Museum of Taurida (WTC), the Rybinsk State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve, private UKRAINE and foreign collections.
