Malva Sylvestris Mauritiana: Mauritiana features bold spikes of fuchsia round flowers with lavender to purple color rising above the foliage from late summer to mid fall, which emerge from distinctive purple flower buds. The flowers are excellent for cutting. Its crinkled round leaves remain green in color throughout the season. It reaches 36 inches tall and nearly as wide. Heat and drought are not a problem for this perennial. Reseeds!! If you plant the seeds in the Fall, they will bloom in the Spring.

Height: 36"

To get a jump start on the growing season, you can sow the seeds indoors or in the greenhouse 6 - 8 weeks before the last frost date. Sowing the flower seed directly outdoors is an option as well. Prepare soil bed, sow the seeds on the surface and dust over them very lightly with loose garden soil. Be sure to leave the last blooms on the plant even after the petals fall. They will drop their flower seeds and self-sow, and you'll be rewarded with plenty of new plants come spring. Cut back hard when flowering is done and seeds have dropped
