All of the fabric is "unused". If the fabric has been cut from previously, the size given below will always be the "SQUARE of the fabric". There is a slight "basement" smell noticed. I believe it would be removed by laundering. This was in storage, and is rather wrinkled. I did not press it in case you would rather I did not.
