This is one of many other handcrafted stoneware art pottery created by Connie Braunschweig who started doing stoneware pottery in the 1970s , she uses a lot of organic colors such as white, blues, sage/tan and brown in all her pottery. I spoke with her today October 4th 2022 asking her how her pottery was made , Mrs. Connie said her pottery is stoneware that stoneware is dense pottery that has to be fired at high temperatures to make it resistant to liquids or non-porous. It is made from clay but is more durable than other kinds of pottery and earthenware. Mrs. Connie designs her pieces with organic materials such as floral plants, leaves, grasses, and much more.
This charcuterie platter is done in the Tan and Brown, and designed with leaf patterns, it is in excellent condition. This is a wonderful conversational piece. Mrs. Connie is an awesome lady, and I was happy that I got in touch with her.
