Background: Wang Yinxian (June 16, 1943 - February 28, 2018), female, Han nationality, was born in Dingshu Town, Yixing City, Jiangsu Province. In November 1956, he was admitted to the purple clay workshop to learn the purple clay craft, and successively learned from Wu Yungen, Zhu Kexin, Pei Shimin, Jiang Rong and others. In 1973, he entered the purple clay factory research institute, specializing in the modeling design of purple clay pottery. In September 1975, he participated in the "Jiangsu Daily Ceramic Art Design Training Course" held by the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. In 1998, he officially retired from Zisha Craft Factory. In 2007, Wang Yinxian was selected into the first batch of List of Representative Inheritors of National Intangible Cultural Heritage Projects. The selected project was Yixing Zisha Pottery Production Skills. In February 2012, he participated in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Achievement Exhibition held by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China and other ministries and commissions.
