1800 over 1798 Draped Bust Large Cent (variety S-191), authenticated / graded / encapsulated by NGC as About Good details (for small damage we see as two scuffs on either side of Liberty).  What history at the time of its minting - Adams was President, and the Louisiana Purchase was not yet a sealed deal!  This 1800 cent has the overdate from a 1798 die, not much more than moderate damage of scuffs on opposite sides of the obverse, and the reverse die is rotated by just one to two radial degrees.  When we acquired this, the previous owner who got this authenticated did not sign up for the variety identification, but the overdate is obvious and we were able to estimate the variety from photos.  With NGC providing the authentication and grading you need for peace of mind and surety, we offer this Early American large cent with a cool overdate variety for your collecting.
