SILVER PRINCESS LEUCANTHEMUM "SILVER PRINCESS"

It is a perennial plant. The bush is compact, 40 cm high. The inflorescences are large, 8-10 cm in diameter, with snow-white petals and a yellow middle. The main difference of the variety is the beginning of flowering from July to September in the first year.
They are grown by sowing seeds in open ground in early summer or before winter, or by seedling in the spring, which significantly increases the amount of planting material.
In one place, without division and transplant, it grows for 3-4 years. They are used to decorate flower beds, ridges, rocky hills and balcony boxes.
The Latin scientific name of the genus comes from the Greek words leukos ("white") and anthemon ("flower").
The Russian name of the plant Nivyanik comes from the word "Niva". The popular name for the common daisy is popovnik. And like many other plants from the Aster family, the daisies are mistakenly called chamomile. (Common daisies are often called meadow daisies.
Short rhizome root. Stem erect, 15-60 cm in height, slightly toothed.
Leaves with a rosette of basal leaves. Basal leaves are spatulate, crenate at the edges, with long petioles; stem - oblong, unevenly serrated along the edges; sessile, upper stem leaves greatly reduced, more than two in number.
Flowers are collected in single large inflorescences-baskets 25-60 mm in diameter, located singly at the top of the stem or its branches.
