Listing is for a package of Lego straight track from the early 80’s.

The package consists of:

• 10 pieces of dark gray 2x8 plates.
• 10 pieces of old gray straight rails (older version with slots - Lego item #3228b). Each rail is approximately 5” long so listing contains enough track for approximately 25”.

Track can be used on a 12v system but would require Type II straight inserts (Lego item #7854) (not included but available on the internet or from other eBay sellers).

Please note that track is originally from Lego item #7850. However, the dark gray sleeper ties originally included were all broken. Instead, I have substituted regular 2 x 8 dark gray plates. Based on my experience they work just as well and are probably easier for young hands to assemble/disassemble since the tabs on the original sleeper ties easily broke off.

Track comes from a smoke-free home and the pieces were hand washed. Although used, the package is complete and (with the exception of the sleeper times) has no broken or missing pieces. However, my kids would dump dozens of sets on the floor to play with so pieces may be scratched. They may have also have been mixed with similar rails/plates from other sets or become faded over the last 40 years so there may be some variation between plates/rails of the same color. Also, some of the rails may have some discoloration on them from coming in contact with the rubber belt inserts used on a motorized locomotive’s wheels.

Note: some buyers have indicated eBay’s system will not allow them to request an invoice from me. If you are unable to request an invoice, you will have to purchase the items and each item’s separate shipping cost. However, I will refund any shipping overage.
