Recent estate find......from a prestigious Portuguese estate liquidation 

Antique chards ware, bits and pieces wall plate, European / Portuguese folk art.

Random chards, bits and pieces of broken china and porcelain, were mounted in a random mosaic, secured with glazing putty on a tin plate.

Dating from the late 1800s, the plate measures 8 inches in diameter.

Well crafted, it has survived in good order, no missing or loose elements.   

Found in a display of wall plates, it was an object meant to always serve only as decoration.

I have inserted a standard size playing card in one photo as a reference for size.
