This is a rare November 10th, 1924 program (playbill) from the three-night, Pre-Broadway engagement (see cut songs below) of the WILLIAM CAREY DUNCAN, LEWIS ALLEN BROWNE, MONTE CARLO and ALMA M. SANDERS musical comedy "PRINCESS APRIL" at the Capitol Theatre in Albany, New York. (The production would open December 1st, 1924 at New York's Ambassador Theatre and close December 20th, 1924 after only 24 performances.) ..... The musical starred TESSA KOSTA and the cast included LOUISE MELE, SYDNEY REYNOLDS, HENRY COOTE, HENRY CLARKE, NATHANIEL WAGNER, HARRY ALLEN, AUDREY MAPLE, MAY BOLEY, DOROTHY APPLEBY and STEWART BAIRD ..... CUT SONGS: The list of musical numbers for "Princess April" includes "Come On Kittens", "An Irish Rose For Me", "Princess April" and "Syncojazzologists" which were cut out-of-town ..... CONDITION: With the exception of the start of a split below the bottom staple, light creasing and minor rust marks at the staples, this program is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
