Mapuche pin with an outstanding embossed flower. Handmade. German silver (alpaca). 


Mapuche pin called "tupu" worn by women during ceremonies to tie ritual clothing and also to hold other chest jewelleries. It is made up of a compact plate joined by rivets to a solid needle. The plate is decorated with a gorgeous and symbolic four petals flower made in a precise embossing technique. The embossing technique is obtained by small and precise blows on the back using a special hand tool, this technique requires expertise and great patience from the craftsman. Piece in very good condition. Needle with a slight bending as only one detail. SKU: MAP-243.
