The YAMAHA L series has been on sale since 1974 as Yamaha's representative flagship model, and has been loved by many artists and guitar fans.

Yamaha's original wood reforming technology "A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement)" is used in the current L series. In addition, details such as bracing (arrangement of sound sticks) and edge treatment of the neck and fingerboard have been improved to enhance the deeper and richer sound and playability.

■ Equipped with passive type pickup

The "L16 series" is equipped with a passive type pickup. A piezo element is installed for each string under the saddle. It is a passive type that does not require a power supply, and since the preamplifier and battery box are not attached to the guitar body, it faithfully reproduces the dynamic sound of the L series while maintaining the appearance of an acoustic guitar. While minimizing the effect of the pickup on the live sound, it also gives off a distinctive presence when playing in a band.

The "L16 series" uses rosewood veneer for the side back plate and carefully selected Ingleman spruce for the front plate. With the newly designed bracing and ARE (Acousutic Resonance Enhancement) processing, in addition to a rich and warm sound, it reproduces an excellent tone balance that naturally blends into the band while maintaining an open sound. ..
