Byodoin Phoenix Hall is an Amidado built by Yorimichi Fujiwara in the first year of Tengi (1053).

A masterpiece and national treasure that gathers the essence of architecture, sculpture, and crafts from the Heian period. It is built facing the eastern side of Nakajima in the garden pond, and is said to imitate the western paradise. A pair of gold and bronze phoenixes on the roof, and one theory is that the phoenix has spread its wings, so it has been called "Phoenix Hall" since the early Edo period.

The statue of Amida Nyorai, the principal idol enshrined in the hall, is the work of Jocho, one of the best Buddhist priests of the Heian period. Many of the temples of the temple were burned down in repeated disasters, but the Phoenix Hall was miraculously escaped.

In 1994, it was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as one of the "Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto".

Completed the Heisei repair in 2014.

It is composed of, and a scale model of a heavy historic building is completed.

This improved version of this kit has been completely redesigned to improve parts accuracy, and the assembly instructions have been redesigned to a color version.

You can enjoy making a full-scale wooden architectural model. (Paint sold separately)
