Amazing hand embroidered quilt made with textile fabrics such as velvets, cottons, and silks with detailed hand-embroidered .

The quilt is not dated but it came from an Estate Sale with a second quilt of the same style but made of wool fabrics plus a embroidered linen sampler from 1897. The second quilt and the embroidered piece will be sold separately.

The front of the quilt is in very good condition. However, some of the silk patches needs repair.

This amazing, true antique quilt top featured irregular shaped pieces of fabric sewn to a foundation fabric and then outlined with embroidery stitches.

The finished quilt measures 76 inches by 66 inches with cotton and linen backing. The edges and backing are not finished. Each top piece has been embroidered directly on cotton and linen fabrics. The backing material is different prints and have stains on it. Please look at pictures for details.
