About the
artist:
“Ernö Koch studied in the Budapest Higher School of Applied Arts and in the Graphics and Book Art Academy of Leipzig.
He had drawn rural buildings for museums in Hungary and was called to Estonia to do the same here. He worked in Tallinn as a freelance artist and later also as a lecturer at the State Academy of Art and Design.
The nature around here charmed him so much
that he created several graphic sheets and drawings of landscapes and cities. He
is an experienced nature poet, expressing in drawings with fine lines and rich
details as well as gravure prints, mainly city views and industrial motives,
belonging to collections of the Art Museum of Estonia and museums in Hungary,
Germany, and Sweden as well as to many dignified private collections.”
