AGERATUM CULTIVATION
Ageratum is grown from seeds, which begin sowing in March (the second half of the month). It is desirable to prepare the soil for sowing, so that the seeds will be accepted and in the near future you will be able to see the first shoots. The most suitable is a mixture of peat, sand and humus in a 1:1:1 ratio. Ageratum has very small seeds, so when planting them in the soil, you should sprinkle them very carefully. Ageratum, whose seeds are grown in a small box, best accepts light soil, which should be constantly moistened, sprinkling a little at a time. The maintenance temperature during this period is about +15 ° C. It is desirable to cover the box with polyethylene film or glass, thus creating the effect of a small greenhouse. This will help the seeds to germinate faster.

In 8-10 days you will be able to see the first sprouts of ageratum, at the same time you should remove the film from the box. The plants should be allowed to get a little higher and stronger, to put out a few strong leaves, and only then should they be planted in separate pots, which is necessary because ageratum grows quite fast and soon small bushes will simply disturb each other.
