Item Description

A neat antique tool.  I am not sure what this was used for, bears no makers mark, but does bear the German "poor mans patent" mark of DRGM.  My only thought is that this was used for making holes for planting flower bulbs. Possibly a wood splitting spike, though it is fairly dull for that. Would not removed the material as would be ideal, but would make a good hole.  Head measures about 9 -1/2" long and 3" across at the back end.  Not sure if the handle is original or not.
