Simply screw down you Hellfire Pallet Wood Kindling Chopper / Splitter to the surface of your choice and you're ready to go !
We advise pre-cutting pallet wood into 6" to 8" (150 > 200mm) lengths and then giving a whack with a lump hammer or claw hammer. A nice sharp tap with a hammer works best. Once you get into a rhythm, it's really quick and easy.... plus good fun to boot.
Having the pallet wood on top and hitting with a hammer eliminates the risk of an axe bouncing off a knot. I've had a few nasty accidents that way. You'll also find it's stupidly easy and quick compared to those things with rings round the top .

An old bread board works ideal if you want to make it portable and something you can take in and out of the shed garage.... but additionally, a 4" square fence post or work bench or log stump like mine all work well - even a strap of old decking works too
